What we could actually verify

Comparisons in this category age badly, so here is what we checked ourselves on 20 September 2026.

Smarters Player Lite is on the App Store, published by WHMCS Smarters, free to download with in-app purchases, rated 4.8 from more than 440,000 ratings. That is a serious install base.

The Android app, IPTV Smarters Pro, returned a 404 on Google Play. We are not going to speculate about why. What matters for you is practical: if you are setting up a new Android device today, the listing is not there.

Where Jetpack IPTV is different

A word on rebranded players

Many providers hand out a branded build of a player with their own logo. It is convenient, and it also means your app comes from whoever the provider hired, not from a developer you chose. If that matters to you, install a player directly from the store and enter your details yourself.

Where IPTV Smarters is better

  • Enormous install base and provider support. Many providers write their setup guides around Smarters, so the instructions you were sent probably match it exactly.
  • Its App Store rating is 4.8 from over 440,000 ratings, far more feedback than any other player in this category.
  • Rebranded Smarters builds are common, so a provider-specific version may already be configured for you.

Switching to Jetpack IPTV

Your playlist comes from your provider, not from the app, so moving is a matter of entering it again.

  1. 1

    Find your playlist details

Your Xtream server, username and password, or your M3U link. Your provider's original email has them.

  2. 2

    Add them to Jetpack IPTV

Paste the link and the app fills in the fields, or type the server details once.

  3. 3

    Send it to the TV

Pair the TV with a short code, and the playlist goes over from your phone.

Questions & Answers

Why did IPTV Smarters disappear from Google Play?

When we checked on 20 September 2026, the Google Play page for IPTV Smarters Pro returned a 404. Rights holders have targeted IPTV player apps on both stores, and listings have come and gone. The App Store version, Smarters Player Lite, was still listed.

Is Jetpack IPTV like IPTV Smarters?

Both are players that take your own playlist. Jetpack IPTV is a native app per platform, records on the device including on Apple TV, and states plainly which features need its Boost subscription.

Will my provider's Smarters setup work?

Yes, if you have the underlying details. Jetpack IPTV takes the same M3U link or Xtream Codes login. It cannot import a rebranded Smarters build's saved configuration.

Do I have to pay?

No. Live TV, the program guide, search and TV pairing are free with one playlist. Boost is optional.
