Choose IBO Player if

You already run IBO on a smart TV that we do not support, such as a Samsung or LG set, and activation is a one-time cost you are happy with.

Ibo Player Pro is on the App Store for iPhone, Apple TV and Mac. Related IBO apps also exist for smart TVs and Android, from a range of sellers.

Choose Jetpack IPTV if

You do not want to pay again for each screen, and your TVs are Apple TV, Android TV or Google TV.

On the App Store and Google Play, free with one playlist.

The activation model

IBO-branded players are sold by activating a device, usually for a one-time fee, often through reseller websites rather than the app itself. For a single smart TV that can work out fine.

It stops being fine when the household grows. A second TV, a phone, a tablet: each is its own activation, bought separately, sometimes from a different seller.

Jetpack IPTV does not charge per device. Install it on everything you own. One playlist and one stream at a time is free. Boost, if you want recordings, catch-up, downloads, favorites and sync, is one subscription on your store account, and a TV you pair with your phone runs on that phone's Boost.

Know what you are buying

Several apps and websites use IBO branding, sold by different parties, and the App Store listing we checked had only a handful of ratings. That is not an accusation of anything. It is a reason to be careful about who is taking your payment when you buy an activation code, and to prefer buying through a store that handles refunds.

The honest limit on our side

If your television is a Samsung or an LG, we cannot help you. Jetpack IPTV runs on Apple TV, Android TV and Google TV. You can cast to a smart TV from a phone, but there is no app to install on the set itself. For those televisions, a player like IBO is the category that fits.

Where IBO Player is better

  • It runs on smart TV platforms we do not reach at all, including Samsung and LG sets, which for many households is the deciding factor.
  • Activation is a one-time payment per device rather than a recurring one.

Switching to Jetpack IPTV

Your playlist comes from your provider, not from the app, so moving is a matter of entering it again.

  1. 1

    Check your TV

Jetpack IPTV runs on Apple TV, Android TV and Google TV. If your television is a Samsung or LG smart TV, we cannot replace IBO on it.

  2. 2

    Add your playlist

Enter the same M3U link or Xtream Codes login on your phone.

  3. 3

    Send it to the TV

Pair with a short code. Nothing to activate, and no code to buy.

Questions & Answers
